problem
The University of Calgary's student housing situation has spiraled out of control, with waitlists of over 1,000 just for a chance at living on campus. We wanted to utilize empty space on campus, unused for decades, in a way that benefits campus life.
solution
Our solution? A mixed-use space that promotes vibrancy through art, campus culture, and student involvement. Multi-story buildings could be used for housing, garden space, possible shop space, as well as a skywalk for commuters in the winter.
The idea for shoob was to create a game that both accessible, and visually appealing. I Joined in 2020 assisting with template design and eventually spearheaded a design team that helped shoob amass one of the largest player bases for a free to play game.
I wanted to learn how to design stuff digitally for the longest time, and when covid came around I dedicated hours daily, working on various designs in Photoshop and After effects, and am immensely thankful to my old co-workers for allowing me to create what I wanted.

As the bot rapidly grew, the team focused on pushing out a wide variety of content to keep users engaged. We started with a simple tier system, that eventually evolved over the years due to demand. We wanted to ensure that we pushed out quality and quantity simultaneously.
